Videotron expands 5G to Quebec City

13 May 2021

Following its initial launch of 5G mobile services in Montreal in December 2020, Canadian operator Videotron announced the expansion of the latest-generation network to Quebec City on 12 May 2021. The first phase of the 5G deployment in Quebec City is currently concentrated within a quadrilateral bordered by Parliament Hill to the south-east, the Lebourgneuf sector to the north and the Henri-IV highway to the west. This local 5G footprint will gradually expand over the next few months, while Videotron promises that other urban centres across Quebec province will also receive the operator’s 5G services soon.
