Spanish telecoms giant Telefonica has reported revenues of EUR10.340 billion (USD12.517 billion) for the three months ended 31 March 2021, down 9.0% year-on-year on a reported basis. Group OIBDA for the quarter under review decreased 9.1% to EUR3.417 billion, while net income reached EUR886 million in 1Q21. Further, Telefonica notes that its net financial debt was reduced by 6.4% y-o-y and stood at EUR35.796 billion as of 31 March.
In operational terms, Telefonica reported consolidated mobile accesses of 268.375 million at 31 March 2021, of which 26.760 million were IoT accounts. In addition, the group reported 20.128 million broadband users, 27.587 million fixed telephony accounts and 8.001 million pay-TV subscribers.
