Turk Telekom boosts Q1 revenues by 20.4%

Fixed and mobile operator Turk Telekom posted consolidated revenues of TRY7.59 billion (USD910 million) in Q1 2021, up by 20.4% year-on-year, with EBITDA climbing 27.7% to TRY3.80 billion and operating profit jumping 37.9% to TRY2.35 billion. Net income was TRY1.36 million in January-March 2021 compared to TRY661 million in 1Q20. Quarterly CAPEX spending grew to TRY1.25 billion, up from TRY896 million in the same period last year.

In operational highlights, Turk Telekom’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH)/fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) subscribers reached 2.4 million at end-March 2021, up from 1.7 million twelve months earlier, and total mobile subscribers increased to 23.3 million with 103,000 net additions in Q1. The post-paid base reached 64% of the mobile total with 165,000 net additions, and the share of 4G LTE subscribers in the mobile base increased to 64% in 1Q21 from 58% in 1Q20.
