As part of the ongoing digitisation of its network and IT operations to enhance network resilience and improve automated monitoring, Indosat Ooredoo has selected Ericsson to deploy its Ericsson Operations Engine (EOE), incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) ‘to transform to data-driven operations and Cognitive Software powering network planning and optimisation’ to boost the performance of the cellco’s 4G LTE radio network. In a statement, the company claimed that the timely deployment of the EOE solution has enabled Indosat Ooredoo ‘to achieve a market leading position on delivering the best data experience for its customers’. The rollout of AI-based ‘cognitive optimisation’, it says, has led to step improvement in spectrum efficiency for better asset utilisation.
