Tele2 drops Com Hem brand in Sweden

27 Apr 2021

Swedish telco Tele2 has switched its fixed line operations from the legacy brand Com Hem to Tele2. From today, the firm’s entire portfolio of mobile, fixed line and pay-TV services can be accessed under the Tele2 name. Tele2 completed its merger with fixed telco Com Hem in November 2018; both companies were part-owned by Swedish investment company Kinnevik.

Kjell Johnsen, President and CEO of Tele2, commented: ‘This is a strategic move we have been planning for several years. It is a big and important step, but also just the beginning of the journey we make together. Going forward, we will be able to provide new combinations of connectivity and entertainment, while the customer experience will be continuously more simplified as we become more efficient.’
