US telecoms giant AT&T Inc has reported consolidated operating revenues of USD43.9 billion for the three months ended 31 March 2021, up 2.7% from USD42.8 billion on an annualised basis. First quarter EBITDA dropped from USD14.7 billion to USD13.5 billion, while operating income increased from USD7.5 billion in 1Q20 to USD7.7 billion in the period under review. Finally, net income attributable to AT&T increased from USD4.6 billion to USD7.6 billion.
In operational terms, AT&T reported a total of 186.108 million wireless subscribers in its domestic market as of 31 March 2021, broken down as 77.934 million post-paid subscribers, 18.387 million pre-paid users, 6.501 million reseller accounts and 83.286 million connected devices. In terms of fixed broadband connections meanwhile, AT&T claimed 14.146 million users in 1Q21, of which 5.186 million were fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) accounts. Elsewhere, AT&T’s ‘International’ segment reported 18.981 million mobile users in Mexico as of end-March 2021.
