Kelly Group, which bills itself as one of the UK’s largest dedicated telecommunication infrastructure services and contracting companies, has announced a partnership with Community Fibre. In a press release regarding the tie-up it was confirmed that the partnership will see Kelly Group work with Community Fibre to help build out the latter’s 100% full fibre network across London.
Commenting on the matter, Community Fibre’s CEO Graeme Oxby said: ‘We are thrilled to partner today with Kelly Group, the leading provider of Network Infrastructure Civil Build in the telecommunication industry. Kelly Group will be supporting us in our mission to bring faster, reliable and affordable 100% full-fibre broadband to London communities. Their proven track record in delivering quality installation at scale makes them the partner of choice to significantly increase our network deployment in London and reach our target of one million London homes and businesses, directly connected with 100% full fibre broadband to their premises, by 2023.’
As previously reported by CommsUpdate, in February 2021 Community Fibre announced that its network had passed 200,000 premises in the capital. At that date the company claimed to have doubled the number of premises within reach of its network in a year, while it also noted that it had increased its customer base by 130%; it stopped short of providing actual uptake figures, however.
