Bloomberg writes that Indonesian mobile operator Indosat Ooredoo is close to securing a deal to sell around 4,000 towers to Digital Colony, which is planning to purchase the assets through Edgepoint Infrastructure, a partnership it recently formed with former Edotco Group CEO Suresh Sidhu. According to people familiar with the matter, the total value of the transaction could be as high as USD700 million and with all parties working on the terms of the deal, an announcement could be made as early as this week. Nothing is confirmed however, the unnamed sources said, while representatives for Edgepoint, Digital Colony and Indosat Ooredoo all reportedly declined to comment.
