Magyar Telekom’s 4Q20 revenues improve 3.6% year-on-year

26 Feb 2021

Magyar Telekom reported that its total revenues increased by 3.6% year-on-year to HUF188.9 billion (USD639 million) in Q4 2020 thanks to increases in service revenues in Hungary and North Macedonia. For the full year 2020, revenues were up 1.0% at HUF673.0 billion. Q4 mobile revenues rose 3.6% y-o-y to HUF97.9 billion, thanks to higher mobile data and equipment sales revenues offsetting lower retail voice revenues. Fixed line revenues increased by 5.4% y-o-y to HUF58.0 billion in Q4 2020 as the continued decline in voice revenues was fully offset by improvements in broadband and TV revenues at both group operations. Consolidated quarterly EBITDA rose by 8.6% y-o-y to HUF62.6 billion, and net profit improved 22.9% to HUF16.0 billion in Q4.

In operational highlights, Hungarian mobile post-paid subscribers reached 3.543 million at end-2020, up from 3.456 million a year earlier, while in North Macedonia 516,000 post-paid subscribers was an increase from 499,000 at end-2019.
