SLT-Mobitel teams up with Cisco to launch SD-WAN services to enterprise users

Sri Lankan telco SLT-Mobitel has announced that, working in partnership with Cisco Systems and MillenniumIT ESP, it has launched a new managed SD-WAN service ‘to accelerate digitisation of enterprise and government customers’ in Sri Lanka. Under the tie-up, the operator – which claims to be a pioneer in delivering MPLS services – will offer its customers Cisco’s SD-WAN full functionality including ‘intelligent dynamic routing, optimised cloud connectivity, and visibility into applications and performance to its enterprise customers in Sri Lanka’. The three-way collaboration reportedly fuses Cisco’s internet-based networking solutions, SLT’s connectivity solutions and MillenniumIT ESP’s systems integration capabilities to develop and deploy multiple managed services efficiently and cost-effectively across the country.
