Ukraine’s Ukrtelecom has issued a proposal to the Ministry of Digital Transformation for its latest plans to cover an additional 2,300 settlements in 19 regions with high speed fixed internet services, representing more than 430,000 households plus connectivity for social infrastructure facilities in many villages. The proposals include project cost details in response to the Ministry’s call for submissions of broadband rollout plans for 2021 under a national programme. Ukrtelecom has focused recently on connecting small settlements to the internet, with a particular focus on fibre access; the operator currently offers its broadband network services to 3,322 cities, towns, municipalities and villages.
