MTN Uganda has launched its first fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services for home users, adding to its existing range of business fibre services. Fibre access is available in selected areas of Kampala and other main cities. While the MTN website has still to confirm pricing, a report from Techjaja says that a 10Mbps service for home users will cost UGX179,000 (USD48.34) a month, with a UGX100,000 setup fee, while a 40Mbps connection will be priced at UGX279,000.
