Intertelecom ceasing CDMA services in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporozhye

5 Feb 2021

Ukrainian mobile operator Intertelecom has informed its subscribers that it will stop providing CDMA network-based services in ‘a number of regions’ including Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye on 1 May 2021. It advises subscribers of mobile voice services that it will be possible to continue using services based on the SIP telephony protocol via the company’s ‘ITPhone’ mobile application, allowing users to receive and make local and international calls, send and receive notifications and SMS messages. Intertelecom’s SIP telephony service gives users a regional/district telephone number, with operating software which can be installed on smartphones as well as other devices including laptops, PCs and tablets.
