CRC to hold a 3.6GHz spectrum auction on 15 March

Bulgaria’s telecommunications authority the Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has announced that it will hold a tender for 5G-suitable spectrum in the 3.6GHz band on 15 March 2021. The regulator is aiming to award three nationwide permits for a term of 20 years with a starting price of BGN4 million (USD2.5 million); each licence will allow the holder to utilise one unpaired 100MHz block in the band (3500MHz-3600MHz, 3600MHz-3700MHz or 3700MHz-3800MHz). All interested parties are invited to submit their bids by 25 February.
