Vodafone Qatar’s 3.5% revenue improvement attributed to fixed and enterprise services

Mobile and fibre broadband network operator Vodafone Qatar reported its financial results for the full year ended 31 December 2020, highlighting a 3.5% increase in total revenues to QAR2.200 billion (USD597 million) and a 3.7% rise in service revenue to QAR2.021 billion driven by growth in ‘GigaHome’ (fibre and 5G fixed residential broadband) and enterprise services. Annual EBITDA increased by 14% to QAR808 million while net profit improved by 29% to QAR185 million. Total mobile customers stood at 1.662 million at end-December 2020, down from 1.678 million three months earlier and from 1.737 million at end-2019, while mobile ARPU was up slightly at QAR87 in Q4 2020 compared to QAR86 a year before.
