M-net rolls out 45,000 new fibre connections in Munich

German regional operator M-net has activated fibre-to-the-building (FTTB) connections for an additional 45,000 households in Munich. The new deployment areas include Milbertshofen, Freimann South, Siebenbrunn, Neupasing, Nymphenburg North, Oberfoehring East and Mittersendling-Thalkirchen, with expansion in Alte Heide, Pasing Ost, Alt Moosach and Nymphenburg South set to resume in March.

M-net is aiming to increase FTTx network coverage to 630,000 homes and businesses in Munich by the end of 2021, representing around 70% of households and 81,000 businesses in the city.
