Brazilian regional operator MHNET Telecom has reportedly acquired C-Connect, an ISP operational in Criciuma, Icara and Balneario Rincao, in the state of Santa Catarina. The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.
TeleGeography notes that MHNET currently offers fibre-optic connectivity Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul and Parana. Its network currently spans 25,000km and serves more than 100 cities. In September 2020 MHNET teamed up with fellow regional operator Unifique to jointly launched a new MVNO under the Fique Movel brand. The virtual operator piggybacks on the Vivo network.
