Vancouver-based Tower One Wireless has confirmed that it has 75 new cell sites under construction in its three core markets: Mexico, Argentina and Colombia. According to the company’s December 2020 ‘Construction Update’ Colombian newcomer WOM was the chief beneficiary of last month’s rollout activity, signing 30-year leases on a number of new rural cell towers and ten-year leases to use some of the company’s new urban towers.
Alex Ochoa, Tower One’s CEO, commented: ‘One of my top priorities during the difficult past year has been to refocus our attention into our core markets, where we can leverage on our established platform to operate efficiently. We have started to make some strides in that direction thanks to our team who was able to respond to the unique market situations in their regions and helped to address our customers’ needs.’
Founded in 2015, Tower One currently has a presence in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina. In 2020 the company signalled its intention to enter the Ecuadorian market, via its subsidiary Towerthree Wireless del Ecuador.
