T-Mobile US 5G network reaches 280m people

T-Mobile US has revealed that its ‘Extended Range’ 5G network, which uses the 600MHz band, now covers 280 million people across nearly 1.6 million square miles. In addition, its ‘Ultra Capacity’ (2.5GHz/mmWave) 5G network covers 106 million people, thus surpassing T-Mobile’s previously stated target of 100 million Americans served by end-2020. In a preliminary update of its customer results for 2020, the cellco notes that it delivered the ‘highest post-paid net additions in company history’ at 5.5 million for FY20.
