21 Dec 2020

Spanish regional telecoms operator Euskaltel Group has received three bids for a stake in its fixed broadband unit, Expansion reports. The news site says that the bids were registered by Fiera Capital of Canada, Australia’s First Sentier Investors and Infravia Capital Partners, which is based in France. The telco aims to sell a 49% stake in its fixed line unit.

Euskaltel Group – which comprises Euskaltel (Basque Autonomous Community), R Cable (Galicia) and Telecable (Asturias) – launched Virgin Telco, a new national sub-brand in May this year, with a view to targeting the 85% of the Spanish market not covered by its existing brands.
