SFR FTTH closes 100% acquisition of Covage

9 Dec 2020

Altice Europe announced today (9 December 2020) the closing of the acquisition of 100% of French wholesale fibre operator Covage by SFR FTTH, which is 50.01%-owned by Altice with the remainder owned by a consortium of investors led by OMERS and including Allianz Capital Partners and AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets. Altice declared that the combination of SFR FTTH and Covage – approved by the EC on 27 November – ‘further expands one of the largest FTTH [fibre-to-the-home] wholesalers in Europe, the only nationwide infrastructure challenger to the incumbent’, accelerating ‘the industrial deployment of FTTH in all French territories’.
