Danish telco TDC Group has confirmed that its mobile unit, TDC NET, has completed its nationwide 5G rollout – a matter of months after the service went live in September. With 3,800 5G base transceiver stations (BTS) now operational, TDC says that Denmark has become the first country in the Nordic region to offer national 5G coverage. The telco clarifies that 90% of the population can now receive a 5G signal.
To date, TDC notes that more than 50,000 users have access to the network, and approximately 1% of its total mobile traffic is now carried over its 5G networks.
