Telecom Italia (TIM) has signed an agreement with Eutelsat Communications to bring satellite broadband services to rural areas of Italy. TIM says it will purchase the entire transmission capacity for Italy on two new high-performance Eutelsat satellites, KONNECT and KONNECT VHTS. Services are due to be launched in early 2021.
