Turkcell’s revenues and EBITDA grew year-on-year by 16.1% and 19.6% respectively in Q3 2020, to TRY7.649 billion (USD896 million) and TRY3.394 billion, driven mainly by strong ARPU performance and equipment revenues supported by ‘digital channels and corporate projects’. Standalone digital services revenues were up 28% in the quarter, with digital business solutions turnover climbing 40%. Net income at the Turkish telecoms group increase by 51% y-o-y on the back of solid operational performance and prudent financial risk management, to TRY1.211 billion in the three months ended 30 September 2020.
Turkcell reported that its Turkish mobile operation witnessed 317,000 quarterly post-paid net subscriber additions, taking its post-paid subscriber base share to 64%, up from 53% twelve months earlier. It also highlighted mobile ARPU growth of 14.0% y-o-y, driven by the rising post-paid subscriptions alongside increased data and digital services usage.
