4 Nov 2020

Telecom Italia (TIM) has been fined EUR440,000 (USD514,000) by the Communications Regulatory Authority (Autorita per le Garanzie nelle Comunicazioni, Agcom) for breaching rules related to the direct marketing of customers of rival operator Iliad Italia. A report from HD Blog says that TIM used number portability databases in an effort to win back customers which had switched to Iliad. A separate claim by Iliad against TIM’s low-cost sub-brand Kena Mobile was dismissed.
