The planned GBP100 million (USD129.6 million) sale of the Post Office’s broadband user base has attracted interest from Sky, TalkTalk and Shell Energy, Sky News reports. However, sources close to the process have insisted that Post Office CEO Nick Read will not sell the division unless he is able to secure an attractive price for it.

Shell, which took control of the retail energy and broadband supplier First Utility in 2018, currently serves around 130,000 broadband customers, while the Post Office has around 500,000 internet subscribers. By comparison, Sky has close to six million broadband users and TalkTalk accounts for around 4.2 million.
