US telecoms giant Verizon Communications has reported total operating revenues of USD31.5 billion for the three months ended 30 September 2020, down 4.1% on an annualised basis, from USD32.9 billion. Third quarter operating income was reported at USD7.7 billion, compared to USD8.2 billion in 3Q19, while net income dipped from USD5.3 billion to USD4.5 billion in the period under review.
In operational terms, Verizon’s Consumer unit closed out 30 September 2020 with 94.101 million wireless subscribers, 6.581 million broadband customers and 5.302 million fixed voice users. The telco’s Business unit, meanwhile, claimed 26.223 million wireless subscribers, 488,000 broadband customers and 4.668 million fixed voice accesses.
