Italian fixed-wireless access (FWA) operator EOLO says it has connected 375 municipalities to its network over the past six months, in line with its EUR150 million (USD176 million) investment plan. Its infrastructure, which provides residential access at speeds of up to 100Mbps and business services up to 1Gbps, is now available to 6,327 communities across the country. The firm wants its FWA network to have nationwide coverage by the end of 2021.
CEO Luca Spada commented: ‘We continue our growth path, investing our resources as an entirely private operator with an increasingly widespread national presence, in support of communities and companies operating in areas subject to speed divisions. Our goal remains to ensure a stable and fast ultra-broadband connection, the only tool to guarantee remote work, a modern school system and the economic development of rural areas.’
