New converged offer at Vodafone Romania

17 Sep 2020

Vodafone Romania is launching a new raft of converged fixed-mobile services under the name Vodafone ONE, while also adding the new Vodafone TV service. The firm says that private customers who take fixed, mobile and TV services from Vodafone can save up to EUR120 (USD142) on a two-year contract. The Vodafone TV service is based on a platform that includes a 4K mediabox, which combines interactivity, streaming applications and digital cable.

Vodafone Group acquired cableco UPC Romania in July 2019 and began integrating the unit with its existing mobile subsidiary Vodafone Romania, with the first discounted Vodafone/UPC quadruple-play bundles launched in September 2019. UPC Romania ceased to exist as a legal entity on 31 March 2020 and from 1 April all the group’s Romanian fixed broadband, cable TV, fixed telephony and mobile services have been marketed under the Vodafone brand, with the UPC/Vodafone websites integrated.
