Russia’s VimpelCom (Beeline) has agreed a deal to acquire B2B-focused telco West Call Moscow, according to ComNews citing ‘several sources in the market’, although the transaction has not yet been confirmed. One source suggested a purchase price estimate of up to RUB1.7 billion (USD23 million) although earlier reports quoted higher estimates of RUB3 billion upwards. Earlier this month the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) approved an application from Beeline to bid for West Call Moscow, which is currently controlled by the Cayman Islands-registered Russia Partners II fund owned by US private equity firm Siguler Guff & Company, via Cyprus-based Wintergate Holdings.
