Viettel Global posts 10% rise in H1 revenue

5 Aug 2020

Viettel Global, the international investment unit of Vietnam’s Viettel Group, has reported revenue of VND8.61 trillion (USD370.8 million) in the first six months of 2020, an increase of 9.7% from VND7.85 trillion in the year-ago period, reports VnExpress. Just over half of the revenue (VND4.40 trillion) came from its Southeast Asia operations, where its units in Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia saw double-digit growth in turnover. Net profit for the period rose by 4.3% year-on-year to VND779 billion, although a net loss of VND123 billion was registered in Q2 2020, attributed to major currency fluctuations in its markets caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Viettel Global operates in Cambodia, Laos, Timor-Leste, Haiti, Peru, Mozambique, Cameroon, Burundi, Tanzania and Myanmar.
