Italian cellcos have licences extended

3 Aug 2020

Italian cellco Iliad has been granted an eight-year extension of its 900MHz licence which was due to expire at the end of 2021. Telecoms regulator Agcom has agreed to extend its permit to end-2029 after Iliad filed a request in April. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (TIM), Vodafone and Wind Tre have had their 2100MHz FDD licences extended for the same duration, though 2100MHz TDD frequency permits will not be renewed since the operators have failed to use them.
