Telekom Slovenije Group has reported operating revenues of EUR335.4 million (USD382 million) in the first six months of 2020, down 2% year-on-year due to knock-on effects of the COVID-19 outbreak which resulted in lower revenue from roaming and reduced income from tourists. Adjusted EBITDA amounted to EUR111.0 million, which was 1% less than in the first half of 2019. Net profit dropped 24% to EUR14.8 million, although adjusted for the sale of Planet TV net profit would have climbed EUR1.9 million to EUR21.5 million.
The group had 203,658 fixed broadband subscriptions in Slovenia at the end of June 2020, down from 206,925 six months earlier, with a further 96,928 at IPKO in Kosovo (down from 111,930 at end-2019). Telekom also claimed 982,099 mobile customers in Slovenia at mid-2020, down from just over one million at end-2019. Fixed voice subscriptions in its domestic market were down 2% at 185,133.
