Dhiraagu fibre broadband reaches 60 islands of Maldives

Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun (Dhiraagu), the Maldives’ incumbent telecoms operator, has announced the expansion of its fibre broadband and IPTV services to Maavah, an inhabited island in Laamu Atoll. The firm’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) broadband service is now available on 60 islands of the Maldives (75% of households), while the ‘Dhiraagu TV’ offering has coverage of 54 islands (73% of homes).
