Virgin Mobile Canada switches on Virgin TV

15 Jul 2020

Virgin Mobile Canada – a sub-brand operator of Bell Canada – has launched ‘Virgin TV’, an OTT app-based service with 240 live and on-demand channels, for its home internet subscribers in Ontario and Quebec. Virgin TV works via iOS/Android smartphones and tablets, laptops, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV, Apple TV and Google Chromecast. The app enables two programmes to be streamed simultaneously on one subscription, pause/rewind live TV, access to live sports and other features such as series tracking/trending. Virgin TV subscriptions start from CAD35 (USD25.70) per month for a basic 50-plus channel package, although subscribers also require a Virgin Internet Unlimited plan, with prices starting at CAD50 for an entry-level 25Mbps connection.
