Verizon seeks access to 3.7GHz spectrum for multiple trials

Verizon Wireless has asked the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for access to a 100MHz block of spectrum in the 3.7GHz-3.8GHz band, according to a filing unearthed by Fierce Wireless. Locations in which Verizon has requested the frequencies include Basking Ridge, New Jersey; Westlake, Texas; Sunnyvale, California; and a number of towns in Michigan. Ericsson is the vendor partner named on the paperwork.
