Just 13 days after Ziply Fiber concluded its takeover of the Northwest operations of Frontier Communications, it says that it has acquired Wholesail Networks, a Northwest-based, privately-held telecoms infrastructure company that Ziply has been working with for the past six months to lay the groundwork for its new fibre network.
Ziply has also commenced network improvement projects in 13 markets that have never before had fibre access. The 13 initial rollouts will take place in the cities of: Anacortes, Kennewick, Pullman, Richland and Snohomish (all Washington); Coquille, Coos Bay, La Grande, North Bend (all Oregon); Coeur d’Alene, Kellogg, Moscow (all Idaho); and Libby (Montana). These are the first areas to benefit from Ziply’s commitment to invest more than USD500 million in its network and services through the region.
