Sprint brand could be phased out this summer

T-Mobile US could start to phase out the recently acquired Sprint brand as early as August this year, Phone Arena reports, citing a slide from an internal presentation. The long-running merger between the two companies finally closed on 1 April this year, and T-Mobile has wasted little time in utilising Sprint’s impressive spectrum portfolio to boost its 5G rollouts. Now it appears that the mobile giant will kick-start its ‘One Brand’ strategy in August, paving the way for a ‘One System’ behind-the-scenes reboot in January 2021.
