Convergence Partners, via its African digital service provider platform inq. Holdings (formerly Synergy Communications), has completed the 100% acquisition of Vodacom Business Africa’s (VBA’s) operations in Nigeria, Zambia and Cote d’Ivoire. It is understood that the company also intends to acquire VBA’s Cameroon division pending regulatory approval, as Convergence Partners aims to evolve as ‘a unified pan-African provider of cloud and digital services, offering a suite of next-generation technology solutions in the areas of edge, artificial intelligence, network, and cloud virtualisation’. Agence Ecofin writes that Convergence’s new acquisitions will position inq. Holdings as a significant business solutions provider in 13 cities of seven African markets, including Botswana, Malawi and Mozambique.
Mauritius-based inq. Holdings is a subsidiary of the Convergence Partners Communications Infrastructure Fund.
