Poland’s TOYA buys regional cableco Skomur

Polish cableco TOYA has acquired the regional telco Skomur, which has operations in the Zgierz region, just north of TOYA’s home city of Lodz. Telko.in notes that Skomur has 200km of cable networks passing around 50,000 households. Last year TOYA – Poland’s fifth largest cableco by subscribers – acquired a majority stake in another regional telco, Fiberlink, which has operations in Mogilany, near Krakow. In September 2019 TOYA launched its first gigabit services as part of a revamp of its broadband portfolio.
