Deutsche Telekom, which provides fixed and mobile services in Germany via its Telekom Deutschland subsidiary, has announced that all 25 million residential internet-based connections have now been converted to IP. For the remaining customers with voice-only connections, the IP changeover will be completed by the end of this year.
‘Another milestone has been achieved: the network of all our private customers speaks the language of the future,’ commented Managing Director of Telekom Deutschland, Dirk Wossner, adding: ‘During operation, we migrated the connections from the old to the new technical platform. We have already switched over 25 million customers to IP. That is 99% of all customers.’
