Vodafone New Zealand has announced it has activated new 4G cell sites in Oue Hilltop and Marua in the rural Northland region, which the operator claims will radically transform the area’s access to communication services. This latest deployment brings to 19 the total number of cell sites switched on in Northland as part of the government’s Rural Broadband Initiative 2 programme. Vodafone NZ is offering customers a range of products, including wireless broadband and VoLTE-enabled mobile calling.
