Everstream acquires Rocket Fiber; Watch Communications buys Q Wireless

27 Feb 2020

US B2B fibre player Everstream has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Detroit-based Rocket Fiber. Everstream says that the acquisition completes its coverage in all major Michigan markets and gives it the largest fibre footprint in greater downtown Detroit. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Everstream currently boasts 13,000 route miles of fibre and delivers speeds of up to 100Gbps to enterprise customers.

In a second US-based transaction, Watch Communications has announced its acquisition of Q Wireless, strengthening its foothold in western Kentucky and south-eastern Indiana. The deal is the third regional takeover that Watch Communications has signed in the last six months. The company previously agreed to acquire Beyond Media Networks which serves eastern Illinois and western Indiana, in September 2019; and Sit-CO, a fibre and fixed-wireless broadband solutions provider based in Indiana in January 2020.
