Altice USA – which was formed in 2016 following Altice’s dual takeover of Suddenlink and Cablevision – has announced that it has agreed a USD150 million deal to buy Service Electric Cable TV of New Jersey. The regional player operates in Lehigh Valley, Hunterdon and Wilkes-Barre.

Altice noted: ‘With this acquisition, Altice USA will extend its footprint into neighbouring communities to provide its high-quality broadband, video, mobile and news offerings to thousands of additional homes and businesses in New Jersey.’ The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of 2020, subject to receipt of regulatory approval and the satisfaction of necessary closing conditions.
