Brazilian telecoms association Telebrasil reports that 4G services reached 4,777 municipalities at the end of 2019, representing population coverage of 97%. Last year an additional 348 municipalities were connected to LTE networks, and around 24 million new 4G SIMs were activated, increasing the total number to 154 million.
