Digi partners with TIME dotCom to boost fibre broadband footprint

24 Jan 2020

Malaysia’s Digi has announced a collaboration with TIME dotCom with a view to expanding its fibre broadband footprint to more premises. According to local news outlet SoyaCincau, as per the deal between the two companies Digi will be able to offer services over TIME’s existing fibre broadband infrastructure, and it expects this to enable it to increase its reach in condominiums and apartment buildings in particular. At present, Digi’s ‘Home Fibre’ broadband offering – which offers downlink speeds of up to 1Gbps – is reportedly available in Sabah as well as selected areas in the Klang Valley and Melaka.

Commenting on the development, TIME’s Executive Director, Lee Guan Hong was cited as saying: ‘We stand behind the quality fibre broadband infrastructure that TIME has built. Access to TIME’s infrastructure is open to ISPs seeking to extend high-speed broadband (HSBB) connectivity to more Malaysians across the country.’
