Ukrtelecom reaches 280 towns, villages with fibre broadband

Ukraine’s Ukrtelecom has given an update on its rural fibre-optic broadband access network rollout project in partnership with Iskratel, noting that it has laid 2,500km of optical cable in 320 towns and villages in all regions of the country, of which 280 settlements have already been connected to fibre services. Ukrtelecom offers residents fibre internet packages with 50Mbps-200Mbps speeds, including access to internet telephony and IPTV. Ukrtelecom currently serves a total of 2,340 settlements with xDSL and/or fibre broadband.
