IPLAN shares 2020 deployment plans

20 Jan 2020

Argentinean ISP IPLAN – which launched fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services in selected areas of capital city Buenos Aires in October 2016 – has confirmed that its fibre networks now pass 300,000 homes in the capital, up from 150,000 back in September 2018. Company president Pablo Saubidet has confirmed that the telco will aim to invest around ARS2 billion (USD33.4 million) in 2020 – double its 2019 investment – in order to fund the expansion of its networks to new locations. The rollout timeline will see FTTH go live in Rosario in March 2020, ahead of launches in Greater Buenos Aires (May 2020) and Cordoba (June 2020).
