KPN maintaining XS4ALL name for existing users

15 Jan 2020

Dutch telco KPN has altered its plans to scrap its XS4ALL premium niche ISP sub-brand, opting to continue providing broadband packages under the XS4ALL name for existing customers whilst offering new customers similar products under the KPN brand and integrating the unit’s entire operations/systems with the parent company, reports De Telegraaf citing KPN CEO Joost Farwerck.

Note that supporters of XS4ALL are planning to launch a new ISP called Freedom Internet this March, ‘incorporating XS4ALL’s primary focus on privacy, quality and innovation’, supported by crowd-funding and other donations, after 54,000 people signed a petition against KPN’s decision to shut the sub-brand division.
