MOTIV increased mobile internet users by 30% in a year

Russian regional mobile operator MOTIV announced on its website that in 2019 it expanded high speed mobile internet/voice communications services to an additional 146 settlements across the Urals Federal District, whilst during the year it improved 4G network coverage in a total of more than 290 Urals settlements. It also disclosed that its number of mobile internet subscribers increased by 30% year-on-year at end-2019 while the average monthly mobile data consumption per subscriber increased by 32% y-o-y. Users in the Yamal-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi autonomous regions were MOTIV’s highest usage internet consumers, accounting for 24GB and 23GB of monthly average traffic, respectively. In addition, network capacity in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Sverdlovsk region, was significantly increased and high speed mobile internet coverage was improved on major highways in the Sverdlovsk and Kurgan regions.
